Commuting to New York City
Several Metro North Railroad train stations service the area. They are located in Mount Kisco, Bedford Hills, Katonah, Golden's Bridge and Brewster. In addition, the Stamford and New Canaan, CT, trains are close to Pound Ridge.
The commutation time between North White Plains and Manhattan is 29 minutes. The commutation time between New York City and Chappaqua is about 45 minutes. From Mount Kisco/Bedford Hills/Katonah, it is about 60 minutes; from Golden's Bridge, it is 65 minutes.
Each of the train stations - Mount Kisco, Bedford Hills, Katonah and Golden's Bridge - has commuter parking stickers which may be purchased by reisdents (although some stations have a waiting list). In addition, by way of Route 648 or Route 22, there is easy access to North White Plains and White Plains train stations which have trains arriving and departing frequently, and paid parking is readily available.
